Most Secretive Administration EVER!

Bush is worried. Rove is worried. Just a bit too much truth might get out. Spinning and blastfaxing isn't quite working the way it used to. Catapulting the propaganda isn't working either. The news is all bad and the MSM is having a hard time avoiding some of it. Try as they might, little bits of reality keep slipping into the coverage of missing blonde women and other beaten-to-death stories. BuscheneyCo's response? Shut everyone up and punish anyone who DARES to tell the truth. Punish the people they TELL the truth to. Leaks are only for important things like outing CIA agents for political gain and to terrify dissenters into total silence.

Sources, Reporters Could Be Prosecuted
White House Trains Efforts on Media Leaks
The Bush administration, seeking to limit leaks of classified information, has launched initiatives targeting journalists and their possible government sources. The efforts include several FBI probes, a polygraph investigation inside the CIA and a warning from the Justice Department that reporters could be prosecuted under espionage laws.

"There's a tone of gleeful relish in the way they talk about dragging reporters before grand juries, their appetite for withholding information, and the hints that reporters who look too hard into the public's business risk being branded traitors," said New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller, in a statement responding to questions from The Washington Post. "I don't know how far action will follow rhetoric, but some days it sounds like the administration is declaring war at home on the values it professes to be promoting abroad."

President Bush has called the NSA leak "a shameful act" that was "helping the enemy," and said in December that he was hopeful the Justice Department would conduct a full investigation into the disclosure.

Espionage? They're going to charge reporters with ESPIONAGE? Is this the former Soviet Union or America? Is this Nazi Germany or the United States? Unbloodybelievable. Bush smirks about "freedoms" and "Democracy" yet clamps down on both and does his best to destroy them. Again, it's right out of the Nazi playbook. This administration doesn't respect the Constitution or ANY of our rights. They want to shut everyone up so they can continue robbing us blind.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”-Joseph Goebbels
