Santorum Strikes Out Again
There are many sickening Senators but Santorum is at the top of the list. It's bad enough we have to endure his phony "morals", his campaign against privacy, women, children, and dying people, but his latest desperate attempt at saving his own lying hide is ridiculous at best. Who the hell is he trying to kid?
Santorum's lying announcement: (from his own biased little site) Senator Santorum Makes Major Announcement Regarding Newly Declassified Information Concerning Chemical Weapons Discovered in Iraq. Santorum (R-PA) released a declassified, half-page summary of a U.S. intelligence community report on post-war recovery of chemical munitions in Iraq. The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI), also helped to get the information released. "Iraq was not a WMD-free zone" in 2003, Santorum adds, "it is essential for the American people to understand that these weapons are [still] in Iraq" today. “The information released today proves that weapons of mass destruction are, in fact, in Iraq,” said Senator Santorum. “This is critically important information that the world community needs to know” Bullshit, Rick! the world already knows the truth. This information was already available. The only bombshell here is the pre-election timing. Catapult that propaganda all you want. It's old news and the canisters are old too. Waaaay beyond their expiration date. Liar.
Cystboy Limbaugh gave him an assist, as did Hannity and the repugnant and ghoulish Cheney buddy, Brit Munster Hume. (video/audio clip below) They blatantly lied to the American people on behalf of Rick and ultimately, Dick Cheney. The WMDs referred to in the DoD report are clearly pre-1991 and posed no threat to anybody. The Bush misadministration KNOWS that. Santorum, lagging in the polls, will do anything to try to get re-elected to his sycophantic rubber stamp role and the thugs will help him in any way they can, even sending Pickles in to campaign for him recently. Santorum the religious hypocritical zealot has GOT to go! Thankfully, that sentiment is growing. The latest Quinnipiac University Poll has Democrat Bobby Casey re-stretching his lead over Republican U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum to 18 percentage points, 52-34 percent.
Weldon joins the WMD bandwagon. One wonders why these jerks get such a kick out of bombing innocent Iraqis that they'll clutch at straws to justify it.

Time for a re-run of the hilarious SNL cartoon by Robert Smegel, Presidential Outtakes from Crooks and Liars. (Video)
Media Matters has a great video/audio of the liars and the lying lies they told about this politically motivated piece of propaganda. Faux Gnus to Clear Channel, the meme is being blasted all over the airwaves.
Despite all evidence to the contrary, media conservatives continued to hype Santorum's "weapons of mass destruction"
Summary: Fox News' Brit Hume, John Gibson, and Jim Angle, as well as nationally syndicated radio hosts Rush Limbaugh and Janet Parshall, continued to ignore conclusive assertions of intelligence officials that the degraded chemical munitions found in Iraq and hyped by Sen. Rick Santorum and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Peter Hoekstra were not, in fact, in the category of "weapons of mass destruction" that the U.S. was looking for at the time of the 2003 U.S.-led invasion.
