Divider Strikes Again

Transcript Today, we are safer, but we are not yet safe. On this solemn night, I've asked for some of your time to discuss the nature of the threat still before us
Right out of the chute...it's not about the people who died on 9/11 but about scaring y'all a lot more and justifying further wars. So much for the "unity" message and bringing the country together.

So we helped drive the Taliban from power in Afghanistan. We put al Qaeda on the run, and killed or captured most of those who planned the 9/11 attacks...Osama bin Laden and other terrorists are still in hiding. Our message to them is clear: No matter how long it takes, America will find you, and we will bring you to justice.
The Taliban seems to be back in power, Al Qaeda is an "integral part" of the Anbar province, things are NOT going well. We still haven't caught dead-or-alive-I-don't think-about-him Bin Laden but we've tortured a bunch of people with no charges filed against them, and now we're sending them to Gitmo because the "law" says Bushco can't get away with it anymore.
This overtly partisan "speech" was about excuses for more wars, and surveillance of Americans. It's a slap in the face to those who lost loved ones to the events of 9/11.

Russert called him "The comforter in chief" with a straight face. I switched to C-SPAN. I don't need propaganda on top of propaganda. Lieboy hit the memorial sites today and did his photo ops with firefighters and willing supporters of his crooked and cruel agenda. A hug here and kiss there, and he's Mr. Compassionate. Sickening.

Kissin' and huggin' --->

Since the horror of 9/11, we've learned a great deal about the enemy. We have learned that they are evil and kill without mercy -- but not without purpose...they form a global network of extremists who are driven by a perverted vision of Islam -- a totalitarian ideology that hates freedom, rejects tolerance, and despises all dissent. And we have learned that their goal is to build a radical Islamic empire ...The war against this enemy is more than a military conflict. It is the decisive ideological struggle of the 21st century, and the calling of our generation.

More catapulting to demonize people of the Middle East. PNAC wanted to attack Iraq prior to 9/11 and used it as an excuse. They lied about WMDs in Iraq and Saddam being connected to the Saudis who attacked us on 9/11. The struggle should be to get rid of the fascist thugs who have taken over our government. We've seen how our "freedoms" and our Democracy have been taken away from us to "fight" a neverending "war" on an intangible, enabled by a fearful population.

On September the 11th, we resolved that we would go on the offense against our enemies, and we would not distinguish between the terrorists and those who harbor or support them.
No, YOU and your band of PNAC thugs decided that...we, the people, didn't.
