Oh, what a tangled web...

Lieboy says he's "dismayed, shocked, disgusted"
"I was dismayed and shocked to learn about Congressman Foley's unacceptable behavior...I was disgusted by the revelations and disappointed that he would violate the trust of the citizens who placed him in office," Bush said. "Families have every right to expect that when they send their children to be a congressional page in Washington that those children will be safe."
Some Foley IMs here. Not suitable for children.
Foley (R) welcome at the White House on July 27, 2006

President George W. Bush, joined by Senate and House members, welcomes John and Reve Walsh prior to signing H.R. 4472, the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 at a ceremony Thursday, July 27, 2006, in the Rose Garden at the White House. The bill is named for the Walsh’s six-year-old son Adam Walsh who was abducted and killed 25 years ago. White House photo by Paul Morse
Former Foley Chief of Staff, Kirk Fordham resigned from his position as Chief of Staff to Rep. Tom Reynolds (R-NY) He had approached ABC with a deal, don't show the sexual IMs and we'll give you an exclusive on the resignation. Just one friend doing another a favor. Nothing to do with Reynolds, he said. (Brian Ross/ABC) Ross turned it down. Fordham says he told Scott Palmer 3 years ago this was a concern of his...i.e. Hastert told for sure prior to last Friday. Hastert denies it.

A congressional aide (Fordham) said in an Associated Press interview he first warned Hastert's aides more than three years ago that Foley's behavior toward pages was worrisome. The aide, Kirk Fordham, said he had "more than one conversation with senior staff at the highest level of the House of Representatives asking them to intervene" at the time. Palmer, Hastert's chief of staff, was one of them. The claim drew a swift, unequivocal denial from Hastert's chief of staff. "What Kirk Fordham said did not happen," Scott Palmer said through a spokesman.
Pickles attended a fundraiser for Reynolds. It caaaan't reach him. They'd never send her out to make dough for anybody unscrupulous...would they? Ahahahaha.
MSRNC, Buchanan, "Let's not get hysterical" in response to the idea that Rove and Hastert have liaised and they know exactly what's going on with Foley yet protected an incumbent pedophile. That's hysterical? It's also typical GOP offense playbook: taint a logical scenario with nuttiness and screeching. It's MORE than likely Rove knows ALL about this and has instigated a few dirty activities. That's his job. Keeping power at any cost. He does it smashingly well.
Karl surely deserves credit for any dirty smears rolling downhill. The White House sets the tone. Whatever he has to do. It's just politics. Condoned. Cheating, it's the best way to win. Re-write laws that stand in the way. It's all legal, retroactively if not presently.

Manfred Bekeris, former page, now a student says he "Never heard complaints" about Foley (Foley wrote him a letter of recommendation)..."otherwise they would have warned us". "He was just one of the nice congressman...he wasn't the only one...and I'm not saying...there were nice ones. He seemed like a nice guy...who just wanted to be on a different level with us."

"Mark Foley wants you to know he is a gay man."- Foley's lawyer. He also wants you to know he was molested as a child. Not relevant but...Somebody! Create a diversion. In appearances today both Lieboy and Pickles made reference to the need for children to be safe in the classroom. "And it's really so -- such a heartbreaker for the people here, and the people, really, all over our country" -Xanax One. Who's NOT FOR kids to be safe in school? Oh, that's right...Liberals. "We wanted to make it certain around the country that the schoolhouse is a safe place for children to learn," Bush said. He failed at that too. A few good Amish children. A small price to pay for a nice wholesome story. Good subliminal for the sheep. Your children won't be safe. Fear. Religion. Righteousness, Amen. The booze made Foley do it...temperance. He insults our intelligence by saying he's an alcoholic. He's a pedophile and should take responsibility for his behavior instead of adopting the addictions of others to use as cover. His "recovery" no doubt will come with religion, ghod will be his judge. He has entered rehab to hide out. How dare he blame alcohol for his perversions. Cop-out! He needs a prison shrink asap, not rehab. Blaming alcohol is chickenshit.

The theocrats weigh in...."Social conservatives have been pushed out the back side of the tent." Tony Perkins Family Research Council, "It was widely know among pages to watch out for Foley." Gay Control is in style again with the thugs. Okay, so it never went out of style it's about control and pitting people against each other while robbing us of our rights. It's easier to polarize and distract the anger than to implement martial law. The necssary changes in our laws have been achieved. They favor the big boys awarding the contracts and their corporations. A few "peccadilloes" aren't cause for concern as long as the votes are right and the money flows. Invoking lots of religion is helpful in greasing the sheep up.

Hat tip here to aed for this. An example of Fox News BLATANTLY twisting and lying..in broad daylight. No shame, no respect for their intended audience. No tactic beneath them.

In 2004, Brownie hadn't gotten the memo on manly cuffs while walking through disaster areas. Mark and George are on the same page.

Update 1: Hastert made an appearance to tell several lies.

Asstert:"Trying to find out what happened"
Q when you learned, after, if you did only learn a week of so ago, (weren't you let down by your staff?)
Fattystert: "Learned of this last friday." "That's the first time I heard of the explicit language." "The guy is gone." (Foley)
"I don't know who knew what when, there are people who knew it and leaked it to the press. (We need to find out) who that is. (Blame the leaker/press and make it a Democrat?)
Q:No one on your own staff has admitted knowing the details....
"My staff has been..(pause)..if somebody didn't let us know then there's a problem and I think the investigation will find that out."
"There was a Katrina message"...(Does that mean an urgent message?)
"There were no other emails that I know of...the parents were happy."

"Could we have done it better? Could the page board have done it better?...that's all we had"...(Rumsfeld self-questioning method)
"I'm going to run and hopefully win in this election and I hope to run for leader, for speaker, our members ultimately will make that decision...on the hot seat...I haven't done anything wrong." (IOW I'm here to stay, get over it.)
"What we need to do is address the issues...great economy, war on terror, done that continually...we have a pretty safe America."

You lying fat bastard! Safe America? These guys are above the law.

Update 2:
The House Fixit Ethics Committee... met. Independent subcommittee...Issued "4 dozen" subpoenaes. (This will stall the investigation until long after the 2006 elections.)
Per Biggert (R)they "focus on the rules of the House"...their own rules.

But since he's already resigned...what's the rush? Let's catch somebody as a leaker instead. Supposedly, only Republicans were aware of Foley's behavior and escalation to emails and IMs in this last year. Unsubstantiated rumors flew everywhere in Florida and on the Hill for at least five years. The Republicans involved had the only hard evidence. The "leaker" is one of their own.
This must all be very amusing to Rove, Cheney and Rummy...like watching a little chess game. Stratego, if you will.

Former pages: Tyson (Vivien?) said..."Congressman initiated contact" after he was a page,(age 17). Another former page, John Abrams, "Nothing inappropriate happened" he initiated contact with Foley to talk politics. "He did enjoy talking about body parts"--to a 17 year old. Why not report it? "You do not want to burn that bridge with a member of congress." -John Abrams. I see a future in politics at the public trough for Mr. Abrams.

Foley Catheter-ization. Who will get the axe next? If I were Rove I'd hold the line right there. The public will accept one sacrifice. Hastert's third in line to the throne. Stand firm, Karl. Stand firm. Stonewall, even. Incoming! It will get uglier.

When did they know what they know?
Carl Forti, a spokesman for the House Republican campaign effort, said that's the only seat that could be affected. "I don't know of any member of Congress who's ever lost because of something a member did or didn't do," he said. "If Democrats want to play politics with this, they're going to be bitten too," Forti said.
...
Other Republicans in close re-election fights also are feeling heat.
In Ohio, Rep. Deborah Pryce a House leadership member, is facing questions about what she knew, and she joined other Republicans — including Reps. Nancy Johnson of Connecticut, Clay Shaw of Florida and Heather Wilson of New Mexico — they plan to donate to charities or return the contributions they received from Foley. Sen. George Allen of Virginia says he'll do the same.

Built Career "protecting children" The political cause of exploited children has long been a Republican favorite, and several of his staff members had strong feelings about its importance, according to several sources familiar with Foley's work. They said he saw the topic as a platform for attracting national attention and winning frequent appearances on cable talk shows, where he described sex offenders as "animals" who will persist "unless stopped."
MSM spin is in overdrive. Time to connect Foley to the Kennedys, Barney Franks, anyone they can use to try to dilute and take attention off the issue. My favorite has got to be Joe Scarborough's segment on Clinton making "Indecent Proposals" to Demi Moore and upsetting her husband. How low can a snake go? That's how low. Joey the Scar whose secretary died mysteriously low...and that's low.

The Ethics Committee...hahahahahaaaaaaaaa, will meet tomorrow.

Members of the House Ethics Committee are, top row from left, Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Wash., chairman; Rep. Judy Biggert, R-Ill.; Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas; Rep. Melissa Hart, R-Pa.; and Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla. Bottom row from left are, Rep. Howard Berman, D-Calif., ranking minority member; Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, D-Ohio; Rep. Gene Green, D-Texas; Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, D-Calif.; and Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Pa. The House ethics committee can conduct an in-house investigation of former Rep. Mark Foley's salacious messages to teen-agers or hire an outside counsel. They are scheduled to have their first meeting Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, to decide how to proceed. (AP Photo/Files)

Boehner Reverses Course on Whether He Told Hastert of Foley Issue
“I believe I talked to the Speaker and he told me it had been taken care of,” Boehner said this morning in a radio interview for Cincinnati-based 700 WLW. “And, and, and my position is it’s in his corner, it’s his responsibility. The Clerk of the House who runs the page program, the Page Board — all report to the Speaker. And I believe it had been dealt with.”

C&L is reporting that the AP also switched Foley's party affiliation. Hastert's too. I sure am liking this liberal media we've got.

Hastert showed his greedy ugly face today to say he's staying, (he hopes to win) investigations are underway, he didn't know until Friday. "I didn't do anything wrong."
Ethics committee has issued 4doz subpoenaes. A stall to around Spring 2007? Only interested in House Rules violations, no futher.
Librul media? Hahahahahahahaaaaa.

That 1st picture is a gem. Send it to rense.com, and they'll put it up as their splash plate for the week.

This is all just a smokescreen for the new Nazi laws being enacted. It's playing real big in Habeas Corpus Cristi, Texas.
