Haggard Hypocrite

Recent statements by Ted Haggard since being "outed" by a gay masseur/escort and methamphetamine source. "The fact is I am guilty of sexual immorality" and "I am a deceiver and a liar".
Ted Haggard, founder and leader of New Life Church
From 2003 until his resignation a few days ago Haggard was the leader of the 30 million member National Association of Evangelicals.

I don't care if Haggard wants to go to church 24/7, 365. It's none of my business. His sexual activities with other consenting adults and his drug use are not important to me either. Again, none of my business. But it IS my business when he steps over the separation of church and state line. His publicly rabid opposition to other gays and their getting married is creepy in light of his secret private life.

Haggard is a firm supporter of President George W. Bush, and is often credited with rallying evangelicals behind Bush during the 2004 election. Author Jeff Sharlet reports that Haggard "talks to...Bush or his advisers every Monday" and opines that "no pastor in America holds more sway over the political direction of evangelicalism." source
Haggard joked that the only difference between himself and Lieboy is, that Bush drives a Ford pickup, whereas he prefers a Chevy. In what other ways are they the same?
Note he hasn't actually confessed to a thing. Where's his boo hoo Swaggart/Baker moment with crocodile tears flowing? His repentance was in the form of a letter read by somebody else. The lying and bullshit continues. The hypocrisy is always the same from the far right religious zealots, our own Taliban. The worst sinners are often the ones who cast the first stones in projection and fear of their own feelings. They need help. And they need to get the hell out of our governmental activities.

Hoo boy! It's written in the bible..."I think I know what you did last night"...he was really talking about HIMSELF! From the documentary Jesus Camp.

Get the "Faith Based" CRAP out of our White House!

I've just spent the last two hours reading a tonne of your posts. I wish I was able to vote in your elections. I hope, for the well being of the people of the United States of America that the electorate wakes up and does the right thing. It's not about the right and the left, Donkeys and Elepants. It's about everything your founding fathers set out to create and what the current administration is hell bent on rending asunder. Please keep up the good work. Even though you are but one voice; one voice can make a difference.

Thanks for visiting, Robert. The United States managed tonight to redeem itself just a bit. We won back the House and might also have won the Senate. The returns aren't all in. That should make it a tad harder for the warmongerer-in-thief to continue stealing and killing. And I too believe one voice can make a difference, besides I need to vent my spleen. :)
