Impeach Above-the-Law Cheney

The Bush administration has NO shame. Destroy the evidence, emails, tapes, memos, and say "whoops" later. Hayden claims the torture tapes had to be destroyed to protect the identities of CIA agents involved...unlike Valerie Wilson Plame's identity.
They should both be impeached. Dick first.

Bush Clashes with Congress Over CIA Interrogation Tapes
Lawmakers from both parties expressed outrage after Bush’s Attorney General Michael Mukasey asked a congressional panel to postpone its investigation of the destroyed videotapes on grounds it could jeopardize the Justice Department’s own inquiry into the affair.

"the Department of Justice has advised CIA not cooperate with our investigation"
“We are stunned that the Justice Department would move to block our investigation. Parallel investigations occur all the time, and there is no basis upon which the attorney general can stand in the way of our work,” the statement said.
...
The tapes reportedly show the operatives undergoing waterboarding, a technique widely regarded as torture. But Mukasey himself refused to brand the technique torture in Congressional hearings in October on his nomination to become attorney general.

Mukasey Dick Puppet
And congress is OUTRAGED? STUNNED? Ahahaha...surely they jest. Lying sacks of shit. Surely they don't expect us to believe this is a surprise. Mukasey is a placeholder, an obstructionist in place to cover up for the rest of the "term" of the neothugs. He doesn't believe in the Geneva Conventions! He condones torture. Of COURSE he's going to help the Torturer in Chief to cover up his crimes.

CIA "destroyed rendition interrogation tapes"
The CIA destroyed video evidence of severe interrogation techniques used on al-Qaeda operatives detained under the agency’s controversial rendition programme, the New York Times reported today.
...
The tapes reportedly showed agency operatives in 2002 subjecting terrorism suspects - including Abu Zubaydah, the first detainee in CIA custody - to coercive interrogation techniques.
...
"The tapes posed a serious security risk," the CIA's director, Michael Hayden, told agency employees in a statement yesterday, released after he learned the New York Times were about to publish the story. "Were they ever to leak, they would permit identification of your CIA colleagues who had served in the programme, exposing them and their families to retaliation from al-Qaida and its sympathisers."
....
The interrogations were taped in 2002 after President George Bush authorised the use of severe techniques, including the highly controversial practice of waterboarding, against al-Qaida detainees.

On November 7, the House of Representatives voted to send a resolution of impeachment of Vice President Cheney to the Judiciary Committee. As Members of the House Judiciary Committee, we strongly believe these important hearings should begin.
