Puppet and Puppet Boy

Bush and Maliki meet after a snub. Maliki doesn't look happy. He's read Hadley's memo.

Whoops, Hadley "accidentally" let the deliberate cat out of the bag. Word to Maliki, you're not indispensable, you can be replaced.

Leaked?
The White House is confirming the veracity of the leaked classified memo from the president's national security adviser, Stephen Hadley, that says: "The reality on the streets of Baghdad suggests al-Maliki is either ignorant of what is going on, misrepresenting his intentions, or that his capabilities are not yet sufficient to turn his good intentions into action."

The document was prepared after Hadley met with Maliki in Baghdad last month. The administration has been careful not to be too harsh in public on Maliki, but Bush made clear in his most recent comments what his expectations would be from their meeting.

"My question to him will be, 'What do we need to do to succeed? What is your strategy in dealing with the sectarian violence?'" Bush said.

Yeah! How ya gonna protect mah oil? How ya gonna keep them Eye-rackis away from mah green zone?

Condoliar and Lieboy Feign Diplomacy

At the National Opera prior to the Riga Summit.

Rice attends the National Opera on the sidelines of a NATO summit in Riga, Tuesday Nov. 28, 2006. Bush said that an al-Qaida plot to stoke cycles of sectarian revenge in Iraq is to blame for escalating bloodshed, refusing to debate whether the country has fallen into civil war. (AP Photo/Mindaugas Kulbis)

Right. His own generals say that only 2-3% of the violence in Iraq is caused by Al Qaeda. The rest, we caused. But Chimp will lie and refuse to debate to the bitter end. It's all he's done his whole life; that and get bailed out of jams.

While the soon-to-be-majority Democrats fend off an increasingly shrill and slimy MSM offensive, the Neothugs are trying to look "diplomatic" and pretending to give a shit. The lame chickenhawks are making deals we'll pay for later no doubt, after they've split with the dough. Ground them before they do more harm to our reputation! Freeze their travel budgets...hell, ALL their assets until we find out where all our money went. Where's the $9 billion missing from Iraq? For starters.
Guardian "We'll continue to be flexible, and we'll make the changes necessary to succeed. But there's one thing I'm not going to do: I'm not going to pull our troops off the battlefield before the mission is complete."
Nothing's changed. Hadley, creepy National Security Advisor to Lieboy sez, "Iraq remains the same." We're "staying the course" to disaster.

Post Thanksgiving Ramblings

Laura Bush is an insult as a "first lady". She's as much use as a sack of cement. She waves, smiles, makes small talk, lies for her spouse-from-hell and catapults propaganda. She travels at our expense but stays inside a bubble with Lieboy. She claims she meets throngs of people who agree with idiot boy. (aka "support the pResident") In the insulated world of the elites life looks grand. She needs an earful from some REAL Americans. But that won't happen. She's protected from truth. She's a zombie P.R. tool. From Bar to the twins this family doesn't have a clue what it's like outside their castles and jets.
pickleslei_postNam

Lieboy can't go overseas without Condosleeza.
An odd triangle.
Somebody tried to tie a tree around Hadley's neck.

Is she the prompter of applause and laughter?
And just one of the guys?

The Bushes are in virtual seclusion. Their bubble is expensive to maintain. We pay for it. No real people ever get anywhere near them. No outside opinions are heard. If dissent is mentioned in the press it's dismissed by the White House. Once in a blue moon somebody gets through the propaganda wall. Pre-Iraq invasion protesters were a "focus group" Bush said, and he didn't pay any attention to focus groups. Unless they had money and a congregation to indoctrinate. A dictatorship would have been easier for the Decider so he's changed all the laws to make his own reality. THE most secretive administration in history. The most devious and underhanded gang of chickenhawks ever to besmirch our flag.

The gruesome twosome took off for Camp David for a quiet Thanksgiving.
Out of harm's way. Pickles is wearing serious boots.

Lieboy pardoned a turkey.

He performed the Herculean task of "making calls" to ten troops.
Stay the course, heh heh, while I make these calls.
bushThanksgivingCampDavid c1
And THIS is what America is accepting as "leadership" from the president of the United States. What? No fake turkey in a hangar this time?

This day is supposed to be the "busiest" shopping day of the year. The myth is perpetrated that "everyone" is out buying, buying, buying for a Holy Day celebration of "stuff" and greed for Jesus. I don't see anyone doing better financially now than they were six years ago. Only on TV. When the bills roll in there will be mass sticker shock again and more folks will slip further behind. Sounds like shopping has become a herd sport and a nightmarish hunting expedition for the so-called best deals and lowest prices. From China. Reality, nobody has any extra money for buying junk that will be obsolete next year. Killings over playstations? Insanity has overtaken many sectors. Stampeding frothing crowds in stores for bargains? The gift that keeps on giving.

~~~
All day on November 22nd I thought about Jack Kennedy. All the Kennedys. That day is a marker of this nation's decline. 43 years ago. President John F. Kennedy represented hope for the future and justice for all. In the dueling Kennedy-Bush clans, evil has been winning since that day. The mistake the Kennedys made was to care about poor people. When a Kennedy starts to ascend they are shot down. It feels personal. It was a day of reflection, as was Thanksgiving Day. Where are we? What is to become of us? The actions of the Democratic majority in the House will set the tone. It's crucial we get back onto a healthy track for Democracy and send the cretins back to their caves. There's a lot to fix in two years. I'm pinning a lot of hopes on the 110th Congress of the United States. We won't let them let us down. The GOP will get even uglier. If such a thing is possible. Democrats must get into action asap. (Good sign from Pelosi, no recess after the New Year swearing-ins until the SOU.)
If I had my way, (and I don't) there would be trials for war crimes. There would be impeachments. There would be reparations and jail time. That's fair.
The monster has to be dealt with this time, not allowed to grow in the dark. We need some serious investigations into these crooks who have robbed us blind. No, we don't want to "get over it" and "heal" the country. Divider not a uniter has fractured this country and broken the Middle East. Only the Democratic Party, with heavy constituent input, can fix the messes. The crooks must be removed from the top down, stripped of all power and we need to reclaim our Democracy, of by and for the people. This time there must be justice. For ALL.
Lieboy Lei'd
Lieboy wasn't received too well overseas. He made a fool of himself and had to be kept aboard Air Force One for his own protection. Great job, Lieboy.
He made a safe landing in Hawaii. Troops used as photo ops again. He and Pix got lei'd. They must think the whole world loves them. They never see dissent, only sychophants, donors, and troops.
Oedipus complex? Mmmmm....mommmeeeee
Lookit the shitboy tryin' to act natural in Hawaii...troops, he can only be near troops ordered to respect him. Yup, they get tablecloths for breakfast every day.
Lookit how POPULAR he is...crowds and crowds...of troops
Adoring crowds...of troops
Oh goody, friendly natives
Vietnam Bushes
Not a happy little dictator.
Heads will roll for making him wear a dress.
His Vietnam uniform.
U.S. President George W. Bush (R), Russia's President Vladimir Putin (C) and China's President Hu Jintao wear traditional Vietnamese clothes, known as the 'ao dai', as they arrive for a group photo during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Hanoi November 19, 2006. Pickles is losing it, up her meds.
Akie Abe appears to have fashion sense...Laura? Hello?
Not even Mrs. Howard can help make this look good.
How does she make it through photo ops?
I think Putin gets Chimpy to dress up for fun.
He knows Lieboy likes costumes and make-believe.
Lieboy and Pickles Do 'Nam
Un-Curious George TANGAWOL finally made it to Vietnam. I'm surprised he didn't try out one of his Chickenhawk military costumes so he can misremember being "in uniform" in Vietnam. The PR and speech departments aren't with the 'Nam entourage. "It's just going to take a long period of time for the ideology that is hopeful and that is an ideology of freedom to overcome an ideology of hate." "We'll succeed unless we quit." Einstein travels overseas and takes Snowjob, Condi and Pickles for the ride. Which one of his travel group is #41's man?
He met with President Nguyen Minh Triet at the bright orange presidential palace, with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung next door, and with the country's most powerful leader, Communist Party chief Nong Duc Manh, at the ruling party headquarters across the street. Each time, he and his hosts sat under a large bronze bust of Ho Chi Minh, the victorious North's revolutionary communist leader.
Pickles was sent to meet and greet youth. She looked as uncomfortable as she can while zoned out on her meds.
"For decades, you had been torn apart by war," Bush said, toasting his hosts. "Today the Vietnamese people are at peace and seeing the benefits of reform."
Whatever. The Bushes were wined and dined but didn't have the trade deal as a gift since the lame ducks didn't pass it. Needless to say throngs of well-wishers didn't turn out to throw candy and flowers at the chickenhawk warmonger. Georgie needs a drink.
Huynh Tuyet, 71, a North Vietnamese veteran who had his hand blown off fighting the Americans, recalled his own lesson. "Even though the Americans were more powerful with all their massive weapons, the main factor in war is the people," he said. "The Vietnamese people were very determined. We would not give up. That's why we won."
While others cut and run....
GOPigs
The GOP pResidential trial balloons need to be burst. The same machine that sold us Lieboy as a "uniter not a divider" and a "compassionate conservative" is slapping the lipstick onto more pigs from the same mold. In the GOP pocket-lining tradition of putting crooked selfish pigs into office....let the slathering begin.
McCain has no principles. He thinks it's his "turn" to run for and win the presidency in 2008. In delusional entitlement mode he's currying favor with Jerry Falwell, the Kerry Swiftboat types and anyone from the far rightwing fringes who can deliver money and votes. He's lower than a snake's belly and far too old to run for president. St. Teflon of Memory Loss became president at 69, McCain will be 72 in 2008. A president who can "recall" his deeds should be a prerequisite. He's weak. He folded to Bush on torture, selling out our troops abroad and dissenting American citizens here at home. He has no character. He let the Bushites smear his wife, his family, his integrity, taking it in the ass from Karl Rove. Such a creature has no business being in a position of power. His POW days have left him unstable, twisted, and sick. He needs help. In 2000 McSlime called Falwell an "agent of intolerance" but by March of this year, he'd found his kneepads for nestling up to Falwell's money/audience. McCain flip-flopped on the side of the lord devil. He was the 2006 graduation speaker at Falwell's Liberty/Moon University. Falwell owes Moon big time for bailing out his "university" so by default Moon is financially supporting McCain as well. Follow the money.
Rudy Giuliani's claim to fame is that he didn't get "out of harm's way" on 9/11 but stayed and tried to do his job. Compared to Bush's(lack of) response(s) to 9/11 and Katrina, Giuliani looks like a superhero and saint. Our standards have plummeted since Lieboy was appointed. Rudy-pudy's private life is tabloid fodder. He and Pataki cut social programs and increased law enforcement. Under Clinton's increases for emergency services he coasted to a second term. Mayor Giuliani wouldn't have fared too well under Bush/Chertoff. Giuliani likes crackdowns on American citizens to make problems go away. Cut the welfare rolls, people either die of leave. Republicans who claim to be values voters won't like Rudy's affairs/marriages, pro-choice stance, and other personal choices. Giuliani's foreign policy experience is limited to international microphones post 9/11. He's not bright enough. The world is facing complex neocon-made problems out of Rudy's depth and he lacks the Chimp's fratboy image for weasling out of lies. Bush has always had family connections to bail him out, rudeboy has ex-wives. To make Rudy a hero for not falling apart on 9/11 is rather an insult to an entire city that magnificently rose to the occasion.
Mitt Romney, another fortunate dynastic son we do NOT need. He's campaigning for the top job, the one for which he and other wealthy boys like himself are bred, most recently he sold himself in Arizona. Daddy Romney was R-Gov Mich. '63 to '69. Junior Romney is Mass. Gov, they sink their mitts into other territories, spreading like diseases from state to state; Bush Jr. to Texas, Jebby-Pig-Nose to Florida. Why so many incestuous governors? Better odds to take the White House Crown, repeatedly per the stats. Oil boys, car guys, same thing. Profits over people. He has an advantage over the other potential nominees in that his ugliness isn't showing on his face. He's got Max Headroom anchor man looks for shallow types. Hell, if Rover and Dick have fan clubs Mitt can have some too. It's easy for some folks to imagine him in the Oval Office. This batch of fake Republicans is owned by rich influence peddlers .The sympathy factor:His wife, Ann, has MS, in remission. They both attended BYU, Mitt pursued business and law at Harvard. (Tuition? Not a problem in the Romney household.) As Committee Chair, Mitt's Olympics in 2002 involved friendly competition. The mess Bush is leaving behind won't be so easy to clean up.
Another religious zealot who wants to tell the rest of us how to "be" in private, Sam Brownback wants to save our souls. He has Pat Robertson's endorsement. RNC Republican National Coalition for Life founded by fundy woman-hating nutjob, Phyllis Schlafly endorses him too. God protect us from "God's Senator". "Pat Robertson got me elected in 1996"-Brownback. The Nation
We don't need the American Taliban crusading for any causes within our government. Nobody's persecuting them, why can't they mind their own business and leave the rest of us alone! DO UNTO OTHERS! For Christ's SAKE!
Chuck Hagel, Nebraskan candidate for president went from business to government when he was overwhelmingly "elected" on his own election system, ES&S. Chuck has been a rubber stamper for the NeoCONS headed by Bush and maybe an election rigger...the facts cast doubt Hagel's way. "If You Want To Win An Election, Just Control the Voting Machines" by Thom Hartmann.
We don't need any more crooked hypocritical reactionary right wingers running for office. They've done a rotten job. People are fed up and scared. War, debt, the cost of everything, health care, tuition, life itself...more and more expensive with no end but poverty in sight. The GOP has lowered our incomes and our standard of living while killing hundreds of thousands worldwide.
Send in the pigs? No thanks.
Sissyboy Visits the Marines
One of these things is not like the others
One of these things is not quite the same....
Bush listens to the U.S. National Anthem alongside (L-R) Commander of the Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Lieutenant General James Amos, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace and Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Michael Hagee at the dedication of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia November 10, 2006. George Felix Allen is a LOSER!
Give it up, George...YOU LOST! Macaca still refuses to concede defeat. Knowing his petulant nature he'll drag this on until January when Jim Webb takes his seat in the U.S. Senate.
Hey, GOP...
