Ford Died

It wasn't unexpected, he was 93. Ford had battled pneumonia in January 2006 and underwent two heart treatments, including an angioplasty in August at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
He had a good run and the best care medicine has to offer. His was the "warm fuzzies" facade of the GOP to "heal" Nixon & Co.'s crimes. The friendly face of what was to become a dictatorship with a Unitary Executive taking "all the authority" it needs. Compared to five-o'clock-shadow Nixon, Ford was a much less threatening figure. The first unelected president did his job well. He let the big boys off the hook so they could continue to fester and grow in the murky corporate shadows. Nixon bungled it but his boys have carried on and closed loopholes with a GOP rubber stamp congress. Nixon would be so proud, and jealous. Cheney and Rumsfeld have succeeded where he failed. Ford didn't heal a damned thing.

He liked dogs, more importantly they liked him back.

Now we'll have to endure countless tributes by the MSM as they re-write history and inundate us with selected images from the past. In the meantime, the current crooks are busy covering their tracks and committing more crimes than Nixon could have imagined.

They've perfected the snow job.

It's Vacation Time!

The Decider is off to Crawford for a "working" (hahaha) vacation.

A week in Crawford where no "decisions" will be made.
(Bush)will be consulting, not making final decisions, at the National Security Council meeting on Thursday at his ranch in Crawford, just strategerizing. Every news report I've read reinforces that theme; only "discussion", no decisions, not decisional, (Dana Perino) just in case we think he's making decisions while drunk on vacation? Nobody is allowed to talk about Bush's private life. The media muzzle is snug and tight. From questions about Bush's substance abuse problems to hookers (Gannon-Guckert) in the White House, we're not allowed to ask, in stark contrast to the hounding of Clinton. Believe it or not, pictures of the Bushes on the move are hard to find, other than the few "allowed" by the WH PR dept.

Arrival at Waco

Lieboy and Pickles have been out of camera range for a couple of days already. The most secretive pResident in the history of the United States appears only on WH terms. They control all access to his well protected Bubble. The number of vacation days taken by this lazy selfish "executive" far exceed those of any other president.

Condi will be there if she isn't already.

Poppy and Bar think we should all take care of each other and leave government and their taxes out of it. The Bush family has bankrupted the USA while they make money hand over fist from government kickbacks to corporations. And now they tell US to give to charity. We already gave all our money to Bushco.

Bizzy Holiday Boy

The AWOL Chickenhawk called ten troops from Camp David. It was haaard work. We all appreciate the troops but Bush uses them as PR tools to sell us more compassionate bullshit. Actions speak louder than words.

Holidays at the White House

"Service" wrapping presents.
Gates gives Bush a "positive view" of Iraqi leaders' plans to curb sectarian violence
Defense Secretary Robert Gates finished his first week on the job by delivering a report to Bush on the three days he spent talking with Iraqi leaders, U.S. commanders and American soldiers. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace, who traveled with Gates to Iraq, helped make the presentation.
...
White House officials declined to disclose any details of the conversations.

Gates met with troops on a three day trip to Iraq.
The new defense chief had discussed with his commanders the possibility of a surge in the size of the 140,000-strong US force in Iraq, and what it might accomplish, but sidestepped questions about what either he or his generals thought about the idea.

The Gates/Pace presentation at Camp David

The Bushes visited and/or pinned Purple Hearts on 38 troops/patients at Walter Reed. His "annual" Christmas visit to Walter Reed is haaaard work too. Out of the 22,400+ injured there must be many who support Lieboy as their Commander in Chief. There are many who don't.
As they usually do, Bush and his wife, Laura, will spend Christmas at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland, then travel to the Bush ranch the day after Christmas. Bush also plans to meet with the National Security Council on Thursday for "further consultations"about Iraq, said Perino. "I would not consider that to be a decisional meeting," she said. (Dana Perino, WH spokeswoman)

Waaaah, Waaaah, Bushies

"I have no future" -Poppy's favorite son, Jebby. Georgie ruined everything for his brother's ascendency to the throne. Saudi Bush Crime Family tradition dictates it should have been Jebby's turn to rip off and sell off America, what's left of it that is, the bits the GOP hasn't sold to Dubai or outsourced to China.

And it's breaking the old man's shriveled heart.
Sobbing in public ...Bar must have been pissed.

Lieboy's Urge to Surge

Q:If you conclude that a surge in troop levels in Iraq is needed
Would you overrule your military commanders if they felt it's not a good idea?

"That's a dangerous hypothetical question" "I'm not condemning you, you're allowed to ask anything you want" "I'll report back to you as to whether I support a surge or not."

Bush speaks during a press conference in the Indian Treaty Room of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington. Bush warned Americans of the need for new "sacrifices" in Iraq next year, and said hard choices await in a war he now grimly admits the United States is not winning.(AFP/Mandel Ngan)
"Year-end" speechification.
He and Pickles need to split for "the holidays" soon.
They can taste those Crawford Cocktails.
Lieboy's answer to everything, shop until you drop America!

Abizaid is leaving. Could it be connected to his statements before the Senate Armed Services Committee last month? "I believe that the troop levels need to stay where they are, we need to put more American capacity in to Iraqi units." "I remain optimistic that we can stabilise Iraq", which isn't what the big boys want; the more chaos they create the easier it is to steal.Or his statements about Iraq's Civil war? Will he join other ex-commanders in condemnation of this abominable war? Or become a "news" consultant for Faux Gnus?

CentCom statement
"In the spring of 2006, secretary (of defense Donald) Rumsfeld asked General Abizaid to remain as the commander of the US Central Command (CentCom) until early in 2007. He does not intend to extend beyond that period. General Abizaid became commander in July 2003 and has served longer than any previous commander."
Military chiefs harbor doubts about proposal to 'surge' troops to Iraq
Top generals have expressed concern that even temporarily shipping thousands of more troops would be largely ineffective in the absence of bold new political and economic steps, and that it would leave the already stretched Army and Marines Corps even thinner once the surge ended. They also worry that it feeds a perception that the strife and chaos in Iraq is mainly a military problem; in their view it is largely political, fed by economic distress.
You broke it, you own it, Lieboy.
It will all have to wait until after his Christmas vacation.

Georgie Knows Best

Only one way, HIS way.
WaPo On the War, Determined to Go His Own Way

"I'm inclined to believe that we do need to increase our troops -- the Army, the Marines"-Bush, Dec. 19, 2006 The white knuckling Blunder Boy without a clue surges on. Poppy has bailed him out all he can for now. Gates will provide cover. Escalation slowly or quickly? The suspense is killing people.

Bush Sr's men have been "helpful" in the past. This is just another Bush Crime Family mess to contain by the Iraq Study Group multi-purpose clean up crew. Baker and Hamilton have had decades of practice at cover ups and tidying loose ends. But don't try to tell Georgie what to do, he won't be intimidated, he's the boss...he'll show 'em. He'll show 'em all!

Asked whether he seeks his own father's advice on Iraq, "You know, he is the wrong father to appeal to in terms of strength. There is a higher father that I appeal to."
Dissed by junior, #41 turns his venom towards another Clinton. He should leave it to an expert...Ma Bar the cur from hell. Bush Senior ready to "beat the hell" out of Hillary Clinton What a man.

President Bush said he believes last month's election results were not a rejection of his Iraq policies. "There's not a lot of people saying, 'Get out now,' " he said. "Most Americans are saying, 'We want to achieve the objective.'"

War Zealots

The Decider sez he'll do what he wants in Iraq. He's got the support for his war from right wing zealots, 28% of Americans, his own neocon gang and of course, some "Democrats" who betray us more than not.

Lieberwhore and Slutty McCain show their allegiance to war, Pipsqueak Graham, Impediment-Collins, Thune, Kirk...all Republicans, support Bush. more troops they shriek.

Who benefits from more war? These religion affiliated nutbags who insist on more war, McCain and Lieberman, are the last two "politicians" whose opinions should be taken seriously. They're not representing us, they're running for higher office beholden to some creepy financial and religious sources with lobbyists from Hell, Falwell, Moon, AIPAC. They listen to them, not to us.
McCain said he realizes that few Americans favor deploying more U.S. troops to Iraq but he doesn't care what we think. WE pay HIS salary. OUR will, not theirs. Arrogant bastards.
AP Caption takes note of Lieberman's true affiliation.
Senator John Thune (R-SD) speaks during a news conference as Senator Joseph Lieberman (R-CT) (L) and Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL) (R) look on in Baghdad December 14, 2006. The senators are currently on a visit to Iraq to meet Iraqi leaders and US military commanders to assess the situation in the war torn country. REUTERS/Sabah Arar/Pool (IRAQ)
Too late. We saw it. REFILE - CORRECTING PARTY AFFILIATION FOR LIEBERMAN

The people have a will? It seems not to matter who's in "power", Harry Reid has folded in the name of bipartisan-shit and cooperation...more troops okay "If the commanders on the ground said this is just for a short period of time, we'll go along with that," said Reid, No Harry, that's NOT what we want.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., talks after appearing for an interview with George Stephanopolous on ABC's This Week, in Washington, Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006. (AP Photo/ABC News, Lauren Victoria Burke)
Reid appeared on Steffi's bullshit "show", to discuss our supposed agenda. Sen. Tim Johnson's medical condition is "successful" and he's doing very well. That privileged level of health care for the rest of us might have been a good follow-up from little Steffi the whore. Nice of Reid to wear a yellow tie. He should have worn it down his back. Why are we cursed with such a dreary man with all the charisma of dryer lint? He's okay with a "brief" troop increase for 3 months but not for 18 months. We settle for the lesser of two evils and are ignored again. Opposition leadership my ass. Of all the supposed "options" presented to the moron in thief, more killing is his decideration, escalation in January

Kennedy gets it.
Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said, "I respect Harry Reid on it, but that's not where I am." Kennedy, like Reed a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said there would be widespread opposition by members of his committee if Bush proposed a troop increase.

So an "increase" would really be holding troops and redeploying others sooner, no fresh personnel. The same troops suffering again, no sacrifice from Americans, just the destruction of the middle class. The "lives" involved don't matter to the escalation thugs, so long as it fills the campaign coffers and pleases donors.

Gates also told Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona the "status quo isn't acceptable" and that the United States invaded Iraq without enough troops.

The nominee said he suspects that in hindsight the Bush administration would have handled some decisions differently, "and I think one of those is that there clearly were insufficient troops in Iraq after the initial invasion to establish control over the country."

Gates said he was "open to new ideas" and that "all options are on the table." CNN(Watch Gates explain how the U.S. must maintain "some presence in Iraq for a long time" Video)

Gates Sworn In for the "surge" portion of Destroy Baghdad.
This bit kills me...His nomination was overwhelmingly endorsed by the Senate, and he was praised for his candor. His candor? He lied during Iran-Contra. He's in Rummy's job to hold the reins for the neothugs while they clean up. Yet every single Democratic Senator voted to confirm him. Un-bloody-believable.
Gates does not have extensive experience with the military, however, and has been out of government since 1993, which means he faces a steep learning curve.
His experience, ex-CIA and Iran-Contra. Great. He'll do a heckuva job. Have no fear, Rummy will be near.
Rumsfeld will have a government office near the Pentagon for several months to sort through his papers and provide any further help that is needed in the transition to Secretary Gates' leadership.

Powell, angling for himself, says the Army is broken. It's no skin off his nose to jockey for brownie points. A broken army needs committees consultants and contractors. That takes taxpayer dough.

My, how far we've come in a few short months.

Chimpy Back to the Future

The moron is agitated and making excusifications...and manglage of languitude. Watching him in action with Blair was pathetic. He was insulting, arrogant and sarcastic. And Blair was the perfect poodle. Off to "the future" they both proclaimed. We will PREVAIL!!!

"I talk to families who die", he whined to demonstrate his deep "understanding" of war and its consequences. (Video at link. The transcript doesn't do justice to how vile he really is.)

He hears the voices, he talks to families who die and to his higher Father. He knows how hard it is for them to put war on their families. He's a psychopath.
He's a callous messed up excuse for a human being. Psychiatry is his only hope. He can see a shrink in jail.

The Pickles Zone

Pickles and Scumbag pretend to care about AIDS

World AIDS Day at the White House. Secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt, Moron, Laura Bush. Photo:Mike Theiler/AFP

Actions speak louder than words.
First lady’s visit postponed
Mrs. Bush was to give a $60,000 grant to 37 different schools.
No time. Hordes of children milled about at the White House. People from the U.S.-Afghan Women's Council needed a ten minute speech, trees to decorate, entertaining the employees, a first woman's work never ends.

She must be all worn out after her trip overseas accompanying the nasty dimwit. Or perhaps she's exhausted from the seasonal social whirl and her costume changes. Three other women wore the same $8,500 Oscar de la Renta red dress as Pickles to the Kennedy Center. Her "handlers" failed to save her from yet another fashion faux pas. So she changed.

Bolton Bails

Bolton gave the Decider his "resignation". The White House insists on calling it "stepping down". Recessive Bolton couldn't be confirmed even with a GOP majority working for the White House. He's sure not going to be confirmed now that Democrats have a say. For six years Boy Blunder got all the rubber stamps he needed. That's about to change. It's musical chairs on the Hindenburg. They're shuffling the deck and shifting the focus.
Petulant Boy Blunder's response:
I’m not happy about it," President Bush said as he met the outgoing ambassador at the White House a few hours later, adding that Mr Bolton had "done a fabulous job for his country." It's fabulous to be an asshole? Bolton met with his mentor Cheney before resigning. Perhaps he's gotten a new assignment. CEO of...? on the board of...?
What atrocity is he hiding?

What beast will the Bushco machine present next to further alienate the rest of the world? What pardoned piece of slime from Bush I's reign is still in need of a piece of the action? Bolton can become a "consultant" on Fux Gnus or give motivational speeches on how to bully.

Career Liars To The Rescue

Bring 'em on. The Iraq Study Group's much ballyhooed report, i.e. groupspeak talking points, to be "announced" Dec. 6th. Poppy's boys are covering up for Lieboy and set to bail him out. Again.
Every time the Bush Crime Family needs a pretend investigation followed by a cover-up they call in the same crooked consiglieres par excellence to tidy things up. The Iraq Study Group won't be a change in course. Per Murtha, "It’s not going to be better."
"The problem is they say it depends on the circumstances on the ground," Murtha said. "Well, if it depends on circumstances on the ground it’s not a lot different than what President Bush is saying." He added, "Kissinger came out with the same type of thing in the 1960s and three years later we got out of there, but we lost 20,000 troops."
No surprises. The Dems providing the "bipartisan" element are DINOs, the rest are stalwart defenders of all things Bushco. And any bits Bubble Boy doesn't like, he's going to ignore.
Oh how bloody convenient! The recommendations call for troop withdrawal in 2008 when the thugs are out of harm's way.
The main players, liars all:Lee Hamilton, Robert Gates, and James Baker.

Who the hell can we really trust out of this bunch? A status quo group. Lawrence S. Eagleburger, Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Edwin Meese III , Sandra Day O'Connor, Leon E. Panetta, William J. Perry, Charles S. Robb, and Alan K. Simpson.

Gates joined the CIA in the late 1960s and worked his way up the ranks, serving as deputy director from 1986-89. He was nominated to become the head of CIA in 1987, but withdrew his name after it became clear the Democratically-controlled Senate would reject the nomination because of his role in the Iran-Contra affair.

Gates should NOT be confirmed as Secretary of Defense. He isn't qualified. His main claim to fame is Bush Crime Family loyalty, another crooked CIA crony. The GOP will claim it's Boy King's right to surround himself with trusted confidantes, even well known criminals like death squad Negroponte and creepy spy Poindexter, et al. A very unsavory lot, many pardoned by Bush I, all still in the family.
Poppy's pardons, including six major Iran-Contra crooks.

The thugs are trotting out the same lying faces, to lend "credibility" to the criminal activities of the little dictator, and tie up loose ends. Bookkeeping. Evidence destruction. They plan on pardoning anyone facing criminal charges. If there's justice, they'll all go to prison.
These are recidivist criminals from the Iran-Contra Affair; the investigation was stymied further with Cheney's help.
Cheney smartly exploited his relationship with Rep. Lee Hamilton, D-Ind., who was chairman of the Iran-contra panel. Hamilton cared deeply about his reputation for bipartisanship and the Republicans quickly exploited this fact.

Rumsfeld retroactively (surprise, surprise) left a new "minimalist" plan with "no recommendations" in a memo dated two days before his resignation. Rummy's laundry list. The moron in chief will have to "decide" between two non-plans.
2,897 dead U.S. troops and climbing while the thugs cover themselves and accuse Democrats of not having a plan. As always, projection while stalling.
